does Your child:

  • Appear extremely sensitive to normal sensations such as touch, sound, movement, sights, smell or taste?
  • Have difficulty to self calm, to display self control, or to wind down?
  • Seem overly active or in constant motion?
  • Appear lethargic or have a low activity level?
  • Appear hesitant to climb on jungle gym or engage in gross mother activities with peers?
  • have difficulty handling changes in routines or transitions?
  • Become frustrated with motor activities?
  • Have difficulty learning?
  • Demonstrate an extreme range of emotions?
  • Have a poor sleep wake cycle?
  • Have language delays?
  • Appear disorganized

If you answered YES to one or more of these characteristics, your child may have a sensory processing deficit. Always consult your physician who may recommend occupational therapy to further address these concerns.
